What bike would you recommend for a smooth cycle track?
Budget is £500 max and I want to get a fast bike, I was thinking a race bmx but all my friends have mountain bikes, what is the best bike for £500.
a smooth cycle track, does that mean it is paved, i.e. you're not going offroad? then I would recommend a hybrid. they are fast.

but I'm guessing now that you mean dirt. Get a hard tail mtb, they are more versatile. Put slicks on and you have a great commuter and tourer.
